My new favourite word…Multipotentialite
It describes me to a T.
I always envied people who found their passion and unwaveringly followed it in its various forms throughout life. I wanted to be like people who have a hobby that they mastered over years of dedication.
“Find your passion” we are told, and you will never work a day in your life.
We are told to “Find your purpose ” and that “Consistency and practice are the key to success”.
My passions seemed to change regularly. Once I achieved some level of capability or success I would become bored and search for the next concept to jump in feet first and become obsessed with. Until that too became ho-hum.
I used to think I was inconsistent, flighty and unfocused.
But now I know I am the constant student, always seeking to learn something new, from science to biology to makeup artistry to pottery to politics to psychology.
I do see a common theme in my many passions.
But who knows… that might change tomorrow.
I do not have to fit in a box. I have so much potential in many areas and it is my superpower.
I am a Multipotentialite

I will be talking about this and more at the International Women and Law Enforcement Conference on 19 September in Cairns. There are about 1000 people registered to attend from nations all around the world.
The best part is this year the conference is in my home town so I don’t have to travel anywhere. Photo above is some of the great scenery in the area.
If you are going to the Conference, make sure you come by and say HI !
